Who Supports Misty?

• Dr Doug Domene - former PYLUSD Superintendent who promoted bonds that have now been deemed illegal and have cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.  In 2013, he failed to install fire sprinklers in the Professional Development Academy on Casa Loma putting students, staff and the community at risk. The current board and superintendent are now installing the fire sprinklers to bring the building up to code.  Doug Domene is heavily supported and involved in the teachers union.  He currently resides in Idaho.

• Mary Cummings - retired teacher and heavily involved in the teachers union.  She has writtten articles for the Fullerton Observer wher she refers to Blades, Frazier and Youngblood as the "MAGA majority".

• Peggy Bowen - Former Teacher and Former PYLUSD Board Member, heavily involved and supported by the teachers union.

• Judy Rees, retired teacher and former APLE teachers union representative.  She has told conservative parents in board meetings to "F**k off".

• Carrie Buck - current PYLUSD Trustee.  Carrie Buck has advocated for critical race theory and voted against parental notification policies.  She was recently photographed in a meeting advising the Chino Valley democrat party and union activists how to recall conservative board president Sonja Shaw.  She voted yes on the CAB bonds which are now illegal and will cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. Buck is endorsed and supported the CTA/APLE teachers union.

• Eric Padgett, former PYLUSD Board member.  Heavily involved in the California Teachers Association and also the NEA. Padgett voted "yes" on the now illegal CAB Bonds which will cost our taxpayers millions.  

• Sam Myovich - former PYLUSD teacher and very active in the California Teachers Association and the democrat party.  He was candidate Nancy Watkins field director during her 2024 campaign against Orange County Board of Education member Ken Williams.  Sam Myovich has recently written an article called "The PYLUSD critical race theory ban is racist."  Sam has been organizing walkers for candidates Janssen, Quintero and Anderson.

• Julie Suchard - Carrie Buck's campaign treasurer and critic of the Republican Party.  Active in the democrat party and turned Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills into the IRS for praying in a church service for conservative board members. 

• Esther Kim - Administrator of the social media page Yorba Linda Moms.  Censors conservative voices and removes women with alternative opinions from the community page.

• Susan Metcalf - prior 2020 PYLUSD school board candidate.  Former principal of Travis Ranch before returning to the classroom in 2020.  Metcalf is no longer an employee of the PYLUSD School District.  In 2021, Metcalf and Janssen teamed up after their loss and created the Facebook group Placentia Linda, Better Together which criticized Blades and her new role on the school board.  It appears the page was deleted before this election.

• Julie KIinkenberg - retired Anaheim school teacher who attends board meetings and calls PYLUSD board members Blades, Frazier and Youngblood "Christian Nationalists".

• Jim Bell- retired Valencia principal who has recently started giving interviews to social media sites about the PYLUSD district he left over ten years ago.  He has made false claims about current teachers and administrators in his interview along with other false claims about district programs and policies. He has referred to Dr. Alex Cherniss and Dr. Isaaic Gates as "carpetbaggers" and Trustees Blades, Frazier and Youngblood as "extremists".  Mr. Bell is connected to the APLE teachers union.

• California Teachers Association/APLE (Association of Placentia Linda Educators)- The teachers union endorsed Misty Janssen in 2020 and are supporting her again in 2024.  APLE gave thousands of dollars to the Orange USD Recall to help support the recall of conservative school board members Madison Miner and Rick Ledesma.  APLE also gave thousands of dollars to Democrat candidate Nancy Watkins when she ran for Orange County Board of Education against Republican incumbent Ken Williams.  The California Teachers Association advocated for AB 1955 which is a bill that keeps secrets from parents.  The CTA is also opposing bills that would allow armed security on our school campuses and opposing a bill making it illegal for pornographic books to be in school libraries for ages K-8.  The CTA advocates for Critical Race Theory and other controversial topics to be placed in the classroom curriculum.
